Newspaper "Culture"

A world premiere of a choir opera “Boyarynia Morozova” by Rodion Shchedrin took place in the Conservatorium large hall. The opera is a part of the XXVIII International Festival for Contemporary Music “Moscow Autumn” program; its opening became a spectacular event first time during several years.

Beside the choir and soloists there is a trumpet-player and two percussionists on the stage: one is on the tympanis, and the other is in charge of a whole battery of instruments.
